Thank you to those who suggested what to do, on other forums, got me thinking, what am I missing? Tried it on another computer but of course this little ZG5 is different! I would really like to use 6 if it worked, as it does on the other old Acer.
I have been waiting till study is over before I tried again, incase the same thing happened.
I have 4 on here, want to take it to 5.ĭon't want 6 because when I tried that on this computer under Ubuntu the Writer stopped working, it would open, then when I loaded up a document it greyed out and dropped off the screen. I would also like to upgrade Libre Office, but not to 6. Oh well, more reading and homework to be done I guess. I tried it after finding some documentation within the file, it looked like it had worked by when I hooked up the printer it said it was not connected. I thought I could bring the file across to this ZG5 on a thumb drive and get this one hooked up. I did manage to find the right driver to make the other Acer hook up to my Brother HL1210W printer (new). Still have not got my other Acer connected to the internet with wifi, another thread under wireless. Probably explains why I am not so good at this as well! Just taking a break from vainly trying to get info into my head! I have not got it sorted how to do that yet! Actually I have been busy studying for an exam tonight.
